Passionate about sustainable fashion, Archana is the founder of Slowthreads, a small and purpose-driven brand committed to making a positive impact on the fashion industry. Archana's entry into the fashion industry was almost accidental and not planned. Growing up, she found fashion inaccessible. In her career, she moved from banking to telecom and eventually worked in insurance and fintech where she was involved right from service to retention to end-product delivery. When she took a break from her career, what started as simply a quest to launch a fashion brand soon evolved into a desire to not be a part of the problem in the fashion industry. So, she became focused on creating a brand that was both mindful and inclusive. With a focus on inclusive slow fashion, she curates a collection of timeless pieces made from eco-friendly materials and produced under ethical practices.
